Blackpool Gears Up For A Bumper New Years Eve!

Blackpool is gearing up to bid a warm adieu to another incredibly successful tourism season with a festive, family-oriented celebration on New Year’s Eve. The lively gathering will be nestled within the enchanting Christmas By The Sea village on the Tower Festival Headland, running from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday, December 31.

Set amidst the sprawling Comedy Carpet, this outdoor festivity promises an array of entertainment for both kids and adults, culminating in a dazzling synchronized fireworks and projection show accompanied by music.

Organized by the Blackpool Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) in collaboration with VisitBlackpool, this event marks the conclusion of a year that witnessed unprecedented attendance at Blackpool’s series of complimentary events.

The captivating Christmas By The Sea village, inaugurated on November 17 by the talented Strictly Come Dancing professionals Lauren and Graziano, invites visitors daily from noon onwards (except on Christmas Day) until the culmination of the extended Illuminations season on January 1.

At the heart of this village lies a complimentary skating rink, surrounded by festive light displays, engaging projection shows, themed log cabins offering a diverse range of holiday-themed culinary delights and beverages, simulated snowfalls, glistening trees, and even Christmas tram rides.

For the younger visitors, there are specially themed attractions, a 100-foot-long snow slide, and the triumphant return of the Star Flyer—an impressive 196-foot-tall swing ride, ranking among Europe’s tallest.

On the eve of the New Year, the village will extend its hours, welcoming guests from noon until 9pm, while the breathtaking Illuminations will continue to illuminate the night until 1am.
